Celebrate • Disciple • Partner
Dear CDP District General Assembly Attendees, First and foremost, thank you to everyone who attended the General Assembly on Saturday. Your presence and participation made the event a success.
A special thank you goes to those who volunteered to help with setup, registration, and cleanup: Rose Armstrong from the Accokeek Church, Kyle Stateler from Middle River, Pastor Jerry Seaman, Cheryl Dodd from Kingdom Fellowship, and Melodie Stateler from Middle River Church. Your support helped everything run smoothly.
We are also grateful to the members of Celebration Church for hosting the event. A heartfelt thanks to Min. Rhema Davis, who served as our on-site coordinator, and Bishop Robbie Davis Jr. for his leadership and support.
We were blessed by the Word of God delivered by Pastor Rudy Ayala and his daughter Deborah Ayala. As well as the worship team of Victory Church.
The worship team ushered us into the presence of God and their names are as follows:
- Lead Singer: Deborah Ayala
- Lead Guitar Brandon Hernandez (Leader.)
- Carlos Ramirez (Piano)
- Rudy Ayala Jr (Bass)
- Carlos Hernandez (Drums)
- Kasey Maldinera (Violin)
Behind the scenes there was a young man from Victory Church who provided interpreting for Pastor Cabrejo and his name was Brother Brandon Hernandez.
The young man on the A/V team was from Celebration Church. He worked with Kyle to set up the streaming so that the message was recorded.
The caterer that provided our lunches was Chef Authur from the Movement Church.
This just proves the adage that we are better together. Please remember these names in prayer when you reflect on all that we experienced at this year’s General Assembly.
We also want to recognize and thank our breakout session leaders:
- Bishop Robbie Davis – Church Leadership
- Kyle Stateler – Technology in the Church
- Theresa Robertson – Shepherding the Caregivers in Your Congregation
We value your feedback! Please take a moment to complete the feedback form so we can continue improving future gatherings.
As a follow-up from the breakout sessions, we’re excited to share a special resource: the Caregiver CEO Goodie Bag. This digital resource includes information from organizations across Maryland that serve family caregivers. We encourage you to bring this back to your congregations. You can share the entire goodie bag or individual resources with anyone who may need support.
Additionally, Theresa Robertson, founder of Caregiver CEO, is launching Caregiver Circles—an online support group for family caregivers. The first six-week Caregiver Circle begins on October 1st, and members of your congregation who are caring for someone are welcome to join.
Thank you again for being part of the General Assembly. We look forward to staying connected and continuing this important work together.
Sincerely,
CDP District Leadership Team
